Hi guys! Welcome to the 5th episode of the Wildly Successful Lifestyle podcast!
So how are you doing? How are you dealing with the changes we are having to make due to the Coronavirus? It’s a lot isn’t it? It has been teaching me so much about my own mind and I have really been trying to notice when my thoughts are heading in a direction that is not productive and turn them around.
But there is something else I have been thinking about…
I have a unique skill and I’m going to share it with you because you can have it too.
Alright…are you ready for this??? I can predict the future. No really. I can! How’s that you may ask?
Well
You show me your daily habits with your:
.Diet
.Exercise
.Your Relationship
.How you care for your home
And I can show you what your life will look like in a year.
Stay with me. You know I’m right. If you are consistent with good positive habits you can write your own ticket.
When I say that, your thoughts go immediately to “yeah, sure”. whatever. That isn’t the case for me. Or there is no way I can write my own ticket…then you are still writing your own ticket, but it may take you a lot longer and be a much more difficult road to success. Earl Nightingale has a very famous quote “We get what we think about”
Tony Robbins said “Your philosophy of life shapes you more than anything else” and “whatever you focus on, you experience”. Have you ever bought a new car and then you start seeing that exact car everywhere? They have always been there, you just didn’t notice it until you focused on it. It is the same way with life. If you are looking for what’s good, you’re going to find it. If you are looking for what’s bad you are going to find that too.
So let me ask you. What are your general thoughts? Now to be fair, They may be fluctuating quite a bit right now because of the corona virus but it would really serve you to reign them in.
Do you believe life is hard?
Are you focused on what’s wrong?
Are you comparing your life to other people’s lives?
Are Your conversations full of gossip and complaining?
OR
Do you believe the challenges given you in life are a gift because they cause you to grow?
Are you focused on what is working in your life and what is good in your life?
Are you comparing yourself to who YOU were yesterday?
Are your conversations kind and uplifting?
It’s tempting during chaotic times to let our brains take control because our brain loves drama. Well Guess what? YOU control your brain. It does NOT control you unless you let it.
The Choices and thoughts you make every day dictate your life path.
Your choices you make today from the minute you get up to the minute you go to bed will dictate where you are at the end of the month.
So lets say life goes back to normal in one month. What is your life going to look like in 4 weeks?
Are you going to binge watch Netflix?
Binged on comfort food or Alcohol so that you put on 10 lbs of fat?
Your body is tired and lethargic from lack of movement?
Your home is cluttered, messy, disorganized, uninspiring?
Your relationships are more disconnected than ever because of fear, anxiety and stress?
OR
Will you have a new skill or a refined old skill?
Do you have a positive mindset due to the input you have from podcasts and uplifting books and also your grateful journal and meditation?
Will you have fed your body nutrition that gives it energy, vitality and health?
Will your body be better than it was
Will your home be organized, clean, and clutter free?
Will your relationships be stronger and more fulfilling and filled with love and connection?
These are the choices you control. These are the choices we all make. So decide today to let your brain know that you are in control and your life trajectory will change. You can literally rewire your brain for positivity every single day.
My suggestions for you:
Have a day planner
You set the intention for each day.
Have a baseline that you do every single day Put these on your calendar and check them off as you do them:
- Grateful journal and or meditate
- Exercise in some form every day even if it is just a walk
- Listen to a positive up building podcast each day either on your commute or while you’re cooking or cleaning or working out just get it in
- Remind yourself to Eat for energy not for pleasure
- Protect your mindset at all costs
This is the difference between living in mediocrity or living a wildly successful lifestyle. The choice is and always will be up to you.
