Where to Listen:

This episode may feel a little uncomfortable for some of you, years ago it would for me too, but when you really think about it and open your mind to it, it becomes less uncomfortable and begins to feel more like a warm hug from someone who really means it.
We often have a monologue running in our head that if we stopped and noticed at times, we would be horrified by what we are thinking about ourselves and sometimes what we are thinking about other people too so being aware puts you back in control of those mood swings you didn’t think you had anything to do with but turns out you do.
I often get asked how I come up with the content for each episode and honestly often times I think about what is one thing that I could put out into the world today that will maybe help someone get through the week in a lighter, brighter way?
Have you ever noticed that there are times where little things start to annoy you way more than they should—when we snap at people who don’t deserve it, or we let small frustrations steal our peace.
My brother’s sweet dog Wrigley passed away kind of unexpectedly this last week. He was such a good boy—full of energy and love, loyal and happy.
Last week, I noticed this low-level agitation and background anxiety creeping in. It felt familiar but I hadn’t felt it strongly in a while.
There was a question mulling around my brain this week and I will tell you why in a sec but the question is this— how often are you letting other people set the standard for how you live your life… instead of deciding for yourself?
I spent the week with my family recently and my big sister and I were chatting about our lives and I told her it’s crazy how I am so different from them, she laughed and said “I know”.
If you’re like me – and I have a feeling you are – you’ve got big ideas and even bigger dreams you’re working toward.
Now I just kind of made that up but if feels true, anyway If you’re new to the podcast, welcome, thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me — it really does take just a few minutes a day twice a week to start being the best version of you because it starts in your head.
